ABOUT

In 1960 Great Grandmaster Aleju Reyes brought Kajukenbo from Hawaii to California and founded the Suisun Self-Defense Institute. In 1967 Reyes Kenpo Karate began working with the City of Vacaville’s Parks and Recreation and was recently honored for 55 years of Making a Difference by the City of Vacaville. After the Passing of Aleju Reyes in 1977, Senior Grandmaster Alan Reyes headed RKK until his passing in 2019.

In 2003 Sigung Christopher Reyes (grandson of Aleju Reyes and son of Alan Reyes) founded the Memphis branch of Reyes Kenpo Karate

While there have been up to seven RKK branches across northern California, there are currently two active Reyes Kenpo Karate branches. RKK Vacaville, CA (Since 1967) and RKK Memphis, TN (Since 2003).

New location and classes beginning August 1st 2023 in Downtown Memphis.
