One month to go. The response has been great, it will be another awesome gathering. Feel free to bring patches and t-shirts from your schools to sell and trade. As always I look forward to seeing my old friends and making new ones. As always this is a non polictical event, just great people getting together to socialize, workout and enjoy some great food. See you there.

Aloha
The Pacific Northwest Gathering has been one of my most favorite events to attend!! From the Ohana hospitality of the Davies Ohana (both immediate and Ge Shou Dao) to the presenters from all lineages of KAJUKENBO, to the rubbing of jow from all the bruises
This year NCHQKSDI silently celebrate this gathering for its 5th year and looks forward to another 25. If you are able to attend, you will experience the best KAJU Hawaiian Lua in a "winter" type setting.
Thanks to the collaboration of Prof.Davies and his/our Grand Master Emil Bautista, the lineages are able to visit, train and continue to share KAJUKENBO, this way we as eternal students continue to learn.
Mahalo
and respecfully

I will start by saying: Professor Davies, I will be calling you in the next day or 2. It has been really hectic with many phone calls in and out, etc.
I still have full intention of attending and instructing at this upcoming seminar in Federal Way, however, there is a chance I will not make it. I plan to drive up Saturday morning and head back in the evening after the seminar.
Thank you to those who I have spoken to and who have prayed for and given their thoughts and energy to us.
On Saturday, around noon, my oldest son Michael (11 yrs old) was hit in the head with a softball. It caused a blood clot/hemmorage under his skull. He had to undergo brain surgery Saturday night. He is fully stable and actually doing VERY well. In fact, today, the neurologist came in and took the bandages off. He said we could go home whenever we wanted. I intend on taking him home tomorrow. At this point, there are no long term concerns. We just have to be extra careful for the next year or so, as they cut a large chunk out of his skull to access and sewed it back in. It will take approximately 6 months to a year for that to heal properly. He will have a small permanent soft spot about the size of a dime or slightly smaller, as there was a skull fracture also and some of the bone fragmented. The surgeon does not forsee this spot ever healing, though muscle will grow over it and make it pretty strong.
Thank you to those who have called, etc. and I ask all to pray for my son's safety and quick, full recovery.
Thank you.

Hi Sifu Junker, I will understand no matter how things work out. I am so sorry to hear about your son, we will all be praying for him and his safe recovery. Don't worry about anything, if I see you, I will be glad to see you. And if I don't I will fully understand. Bryan

Another great day training with our Ohana at Professor Bryan Davies Pacific NW Gathering. High energy with everyone working hard on what was presented. I love watching folks have little lights going off in there heads as they are learning. Some very no nonsense applications and principles were presented. GM Bautista presented some good combinations at the end to wrap up everything and pointed out that there were three lineages represented, Ramos, Gaylord, and Reyes. The food again was fabulous as always (great chocolate beef), awesome fellowship, and sharing of knowledge. Just a great day.
Thank you Professor Davies for a great time!
Hope everyone had a great weekend.
With Respect, Tim

To all who attended, I would like to thank you all for making this the best gathering and seminar yet. The presenters Sifu Jack Wassell, Sigung Art Butler, Sifu Becky Gagnier, Sifu Trent Junker, Sigung John Ivery, and Grandmaster Bautista all were fantastic. I would like to thank the Professors that showed up, Michael Whittle, Brian Baxter, Tim Gagnier, and Frank Mateo. We almost had all the Northwest Professors gathered in one spot. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Professor Jay Burkey, he had quite a serious injury and that prevented him from attending. In closing it was great seeing all my old friends and meeting new ones. And by standing together and training together we as a art stay strong. There was no attitudes or egos, just people getting together to help our art stay strong and evolve with the times. Thanks again, Bryan Davies
